Welcome to our relaunched website and a new academic year. 2012/13 promises to be action filled for UWC Maastricht as we joined in the 50th anniversary celebrations of UWC as a movement and now prepare to move to our new campus (due to be completed in May 2013).
UWC Maastricht is the youngest of the twelve UWC schools and colleges and unique in the movement as the only state supported whole school, educating children from pre-school through high school. Our diverse student body boasts representation from over 80 countries and territories including 100 residential students who are selected by UWC national committees around the world to complete their final two years of high school with us.
At the heart of UWC is a belief in friendship - the conviction that the close ties forged between children of diverse nations in their developmental years will last a lifetime and provide the framework upon which peace and a sustainable future may be built. These bonds are not only formed in the classroom alone, but as importantly through the co-curricular programme with its emphasis on service. UWC students, staff and graduates are all committed to having an impact on their communities and to making the world a better place.
